Apple adds eMudhra protections; Go, Node.js, Microsoft and Python trust stores catch up
Severity 4MitigatedreportedEncryption and certificates

Apple added protections against the eight compromised eMudhra intermediates on October 22, following Microsoft (October 20) and Go's 1.27.3 and 1.26.10 releases (CVE-2026-111943). Node.js shipped the certificate update in its October 21 security release, and Python users were told to update pip, uv and certifi. Software with private trust stores or no revocation checking remains the gap.

What to do: Update OS, runtime and language trust stores; Chrome removes the emSign ECC Root CA G3 around October 27. Sources disagree on the Apple date: The Hacker News says Oct 19, BleepingComputer Oct 22.
