The grocery group (Albert Heijn, Stop & Shop, Hannaford, Food Lion and others) detected suspicious activity on October 12 and shut down most brand websites and apps across Europe and the US as a precaution. Stores stayed open; online ordering returned gradually over the following week. No evidence of data theft had been found by October 19.
