Ledger wallets from reseller CryptoBilis carried spy implants; drains top $93 million
Severity 8ActiveconfirmedCryptoConsumer devices

Starting October 9, owners of Ledger devices bought through Southeast Asian reseller CryptoBilis saw wallets emptied. A hidden board with a microcontroller and LTE modem under the screen captured recovery phrases and sent them to attackers; the devices passed Ledger's Genuine Check. Bitquery put losses above $93 million. Anyone with a reseller device should move funds to a new seed on a device bought direct.

What to do: CryptoBilis stopped selling; Ledger contacting victims; fake support scams follow.
