Bitget loses $387.5 million to North Korea-linked attackers via third-party zero-day
Severity 7MitigatedconfirmedCryptoFinance

Bitget halted withdrawals on September 24 after attackers drained hot and warm wallets across 11 blockchains. Investigators found a zero-day in third-party security appliances, a web shell, lateral movement to the wallet job server and a custom tool that issued withdrawals bypassing risk controls. Bitget and blockchain analysts point to North Korean actors.

What to do: Withdrawals resumed late September; about $1.1 million frozen; vendor flaw disabled pending fix.
